Life is consisting of a constant barrage of minimally stressful local and generalized stimuli to which the healthy organism promptly and efficiently responds by local and general reactions -through exquisitely, attuned homeostatic adjustments. .
The dental patients have various physiological reactions in order to adjustment to be obtained stress due to dental managements.
The author had studied the effects of multiple extractions under local anesthesia concerning to changing the body weight, body temperature, and erythrocyte, leukocyte and eosinophile counts in pre- and post¡þoperation period.
Materials and Method
The experimental materials being used in this study were 20 white male rabbits having body weight ranging 1.44-1.86kg. , 20 rabbits were divided into 2 major groups: control and experimental groups and subdivided into 2 minor groups.
Group j : 5 rabbits had being extracted their upper and lower teeth on left side.
Group 1 : 5 rabbits had being extracted their mandibular left teeth.
Group >Q : 5 rabbits had being extracted their upper and lower teeth on left side under local anesthesia
with 2 % Xylocaine HCl.
Group IV : 5 rabbits bad being extracted their mandibular left teeth under local anesthesia with 2% Xylocaine HCl.
In both control and experimental groups, bo1v weight, body temperature, and erythrocyte, leukocyte and eosinophile counts in preoperation, 2 weeks before and one week before, and in postoperation, 60
